When actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed six times in a shocking home attack, many expected his wife, Kareena Kapoor, to go with him to the hospital.
However, she stayed home instead, leading to many questions.
The attack happened around 2 a.m. when a masked man broke into their home and entered their son Jeh’s room, demanding money.
Saif fought the attacker, but he was stabbed multiple times before the family could lock the intruder in a room.
However, the attacker escaped through a drainpipe.
Since no driver was available, Saif had to take an auto-rickshaw to the hospital.
He was accompanied by their older son, Taimur, and a house staff member.
People wondered why Kareena did not go with him.
The answer?
She stayed home to protect their children.
Later, Saif explained that Kareena acted as a mother first.
“She had to keep our kids safe. That was her priority,” he said.
At the hospital, doctors found a knife lodged close to Saif’s spine, and he had to undergo a six-hour surgery.
Luckily, he survived and is now recovering well.
Saif recently made his first public appearance after the attack, announcing his new film, The Jewel Thief.
Despite everything, he remains grateful to be alive.
