Over 62 Crore Devotees Visit Maha Kumbh as Event Nears End
Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh: With just three days remaining, the Maha Kumbh has already witnessed an unprecedented 62 crore devotees in attendance.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described the gathering as “one of the rarest events of the century.”
At the Unicorn Companies Conclave in Agra on February 23, he emphasized the event’s profound spiritual and cultural significance.
Highlighting Maha Kumbh’s global appeal, Adityanath stated that no other event, whether spiritual or tourism-based, has seen such a massive congregation in such a short time.
He reiterated that the Braj Bhoomi region, known for its profound cultural heritage, has played a crucial role in shaping India’s civilization.
In addition to the massive turnout, several prominent leaders, including BJP president J P Nadda, Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak, and Cabinet Ministers Swatantra Dev Singh and Nand Gopal Gupta, participated in the holy dip at Triveni Sangam.
According to an official statement, Nadda and his family arrived in Prayagraj on Saturday and were welcomed by senior BJP leaders before performing religious rituals at the Sangam.
CM Yogi Adityanath, also the Mahant of Gorakshapeeth, reflected on the Kumbh’s role in reconnecting people with their traditions and spirituality.
He emphasized that the Maha Kumbh is more than just an event—a powerful expression of India’s cultural and spiritual roots.
As the Maha Kumbh 2025 approaches its conclusion, it continues to attract millions, reaffirming its place as one of the most significant spiritual gatherings in the world.
