Bollywood actress Fatima Sana Shaikh has revealed the challenges she faced after the success of Dangal, admitting that the pressure of meeting expectations shook her confidence.

Despite receiving critical acclaim for her role as Geeta Phogat, she struggled with self-doubt, often questioning whether she deserved the praise.

In a recent conversation with Indian media, Fatima shared that she hesitated to lead films independently, fearing audience reactions if things didn’t work out.

However, she credited Ludo as the turning point in her career. After Thugs of Hindostan, she grappled with setbacks but learned to embrace failures, choosing to stay focused on her craft.

Now, Fatima is confidently taking on diverse roles.

Following her standout performances in Dhak Dhak and Sam Bahadur, she is set to appear in Metro In Dino, Ul Jalool Ishq with Vijay Varma and Naseeruddin Shah, and Aap Jaisa Koi alongside R. Madhavan.

Meanwhile, Dangal remains one of India’s most iconic sports dramas.

It depicts Mahavir Singh Phogat’s relentless pursuit of training his daughters for the Commonwealth Games.

The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, featured an ensemble cast including Aamir Khan, Sanya Malhotra, Aparshakti Khurana, Suhani Bhatnagar, and Zaira Wasim.

Recently, Fatima shared her excitement about working with R. Madhavan in Aap Jaisa Koi. Expressing her admiration, she said, “I have been smitten by R. Madhavan all my life. I told him about my huge crush on him, and he knows how much I respect him.”
