Shabir Ahluwalia Explores Comedy While Prioritizing Family
Shabir Ahluwalia, a beloved name in Indian television, is taking on a new challenge with a light-hearted drama.
Known for his iconic roles in romantic and family dramas like Kahiin To Hoga and Pyar Ka Pehla Naam: Radha Mohan, Shabir says, “I want to explore the comedy genre. I consciously chose something different with humor at its core this time.”
Shabir has maintained a low profile for over two decades in the entertainment industry.
He shares his approach: “I feel the only connection I need is with my audience, through my work and occasionally on social media. I let my craft speak for itself.”
While briefly appearing in Bollywood films such as Shootout at Lokhandwala and Mission Istanbul, Shabir remains unfazed about his limited success in the medium.
“For me, the medium does not matter. The quality of the story and role excites me,” he says.
Balancing his career and personal life, Shabir, married to actress Kanchi Kaul, ensures time with his two sons, Azai and Ivarr.
“Once a new show’s initial demands ease, I adjust my schedule to finish work early so I can spend time with my boys,” he explains.
Shabir’s journey exemplifies a commitment to professional evolution and family values, which resonates with fans who appreciate his authentic approach.
