Military Helicopter Found, Search for Five Marines Continues

A military helicopter, previously reported missing, was located in Southern California on Wednesday morning.

However, the search operation for the five Marines onboard is still underway, according to the U.S. Marine Corps.

The CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter was en route from Creech Air Force Base near Las Vegas to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego when it was declared overdue.

Despite challenging conditions due to a severe storm, rescue teams, including the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and the Civil Air Patrol, have joined the search effort.

President Joe Biden has been briefed on the situation, and the White House is closely monitoring the rescue operations.

The White House expresses hope for the Marines’ safe return.
